{"id":3135,"date":"2019-01-09T18:51:53","date_gmt":"2019-01-09T13:21:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ravi.rajiniravi.com\/blog\/?p=3135"},"modified":"2019-02-09T18:54:40","modified_gmt":"2019-02-09T13:24:40","slug":"digital-media-expertise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ravi.rajiniravi.com\/blog\/2019\/01\/digital-media-expertise\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital media expertise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Investing in digital media remains as clear or unclear as it was 10 years ago. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">The next big platform\/shiny new plaything is presented and pushed for in every other meeting. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Viral videos still remain the elusive holy grail. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Gratification is still the goto tactic for engaging users. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Statistics are still thrown without any cross-check. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Social listening is still about keywords and sentiments. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">CPM rates are still the same (actually crashing). <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Defining objective, success and knowing if strategies are working is still a challenge. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Budgets are still &#8220;limited&#8221;. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">&#8220;Digital agencies are still young kids having fun&#8221; (Pops&#8217; actual statement), and <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span aria-hidden=\"false\"><span id=\"ember3973\" class=\"ember-view\">Digital Marketers still tom-tom and showoff every little non-achievement.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This snippet I <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn:li:activity:6479000482667954176\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted<\/a> on LinkedIn, post a frustrating meeting with a digital agency, garnered the maximum engagements of a post I wrote on that site. About 7,500+ views, 34 likes and 28 comments.<\/p>\n<p>Among the comments that followed, there were a few that continued this series.
