I recently traveled by air with the kiddo for the second time within 5 weeks. Unlike the first time, we were relaxed this time around thanks to the experience garnered from the first time. So, managed to take some pictures of the entire travel. When I laid them out in order and looked at them, I realised they had a nice flow of what even an adult feels the first time he travels by air or travels by air after a long time…
- Anticipation: You walk into the airport. Everything seems new and grand. You look around and absorb every detail. The lengthy check-in, security and boarding process go by like a breeze!
- Happiness: You entered the aircraft. Strap in. You are happy that you are now in and are looking forward to the takeoff and flight. You seem to smile at others for no reason.
- Playfulness: With the announcements done, you fiddle around. Seat belt – check, way to emergency exit – check, seat pocket magazines, air sickness bag and instruction card – check, seat back upright button – check, a/c vent – check, window flap – check…
- Tiredness: The flight has taken off. You flipped through the magazines. Ate the food served. Then just sitting around seems painful. You are tired and try to sleep without success. You are lucky if you catch a wink.
- Pooped out: The aircraft has landed and seems to take forever to reach its parking bay. People jostle to get off first. As luck would have it, your luggage comes the last on the conveyor belt. All you want to do is get out and go home!
